The Greek Club is an iconic taverna that overlooks Brisbane’s Musgrave Park. The Ferrier Furniture team designed and delivered furniture for the multi-million dollar fitout, completing the venue’s transformation into a modern Mediterranean space.
Working with KP Architects, we designed and built a range of custom pieces for the venue’s restaurant. While the designs varied, each balanced modern refinement with traditional elements.
Featuring Marmoleum inlay tops and turned column bases, we built a small number of round communal dining tables. A range of rectangular tables, seating two, six and eight, were produced using solid, select-grade Blackbutt with a hardwearing, low VOC water-based 2 pack finish. These were completed with sturdy steel table bases, powder coated in Mediterranean blue.
While the designs varied, each balanced modern refinement with traditional elements.
The vision to create a contemporary yet atmospheric space extended outdoors and was reflected in the materials we chose. Terrazzo tile was selected to top a collection of custom-designed tables which were finished with a solid Blackbutt trim.
We also used select-grade Blackbutt for rectangular and round outdoor dining tables. The round tables featured turned pedestal bases, bringing an element of old-world charm into the light-filled outdoor courtyard space.
The Greek Club is a beautiful events venue, hosting many a traditional and modern wedding. For the private dining room, our vision was to create a piece that embodied this sense of celebration and significance.
Weighing 250 kilograms, we designed and built a custom 3.2 metre dining table for the centre of the space. It features a honed Carrara Marble tile Inlay with a turned column table base. This was built from select-grade Blackbutt with a satin water-based 2-pack finish.
