Ferrier Furniture was contracted by KP Architects to design and build furniture for the Boundary Hotel’s 2018 multi-million dollar renovation. Balancing contemporary style with historical charm, our team completed a range of dining tables, dry bars and 300+ stools for this iconic West End establishment.
At over 150 years old, The Boundary Hotel is one of Brisbane’s most iconic pubs. It was essential to preserve elements of the venue’s history, bringing classic timbers and materials into new contemporary spaces.
With this in mind, Grey Ironbark was the choice of timber. Together with KP Architects, we designed and built a range of furniture that championed this locally-sourced hardwood. 14 high tables were built for the interior bar areas, while several large dining tables filled out the upstairs dining area. Custom tube-frame stools were used throughout the fit-out.
Custom designed for comfort, these barstools were also built for the venue’s outdoor areas. Slatted Ironbark was used for the back and seat, supported by a black steel tube frame.
