Motorwagen is a innovative dining destination in the heart of Brisbane's CBD. Ferrier Furniture designed and built a number of inspiring, elegant and functional pieces driven by the restaurant’s original vision.
Adjoining Mercedes Benz’ new Brisbane city showroom, Motorwagen celebrates the innovation and creativity of Karl Benz. When we were approached by KP Architects to build a number of pieces for the restaurant’s dining room, our intention was to reflect the quality and sophistication associated with the Benz name.
Motorwagen’s vision can be expressed in three words – inspiring, elegant and functional – and the chosen materials possess these same qualities. Marble, brass and American Oak were thoughtfully used throughout the project, complementing the fitout’s light hardwood flooring, brick walls and floor-to-ceiling art.
Our intention was to reflect the quality and sophistication associated with the Benz name.
Dolomite marble was sourced to create smaller, round dining tables. These were edged with hand-brushed brass and completed with a black powder-coated steel base.
Large, 10-seater dining tables were crafted from classic American Oak. A timeless Herringbone patterned top and tapered legs ensured function and elegance were perfectly balanced.
